Welcome to the Bits in Bio January 2026 Newsletter, wrap-up edition. I know it’s a day later, but I didn’t want to slam your inboxes within 24 hours of each other.

JP Morgan Healthcare Conference is going on this week. To be honest, it should be in Philly or in Atlantic City, but I’m biased. A lot of details will be coming through, but just remember, it’s only week 1 of the 52 weeks: JPM 2026: Adam Feuerstein's advice for biotech's big week | STAT (statnews.com) In the meantime there are a lot of things that can go on between that and the end of the year and we should do a lot to make those events happen.

Meanwhile, I came up with a hot, strong, and probably correct take: Cosmetics is more biotech and even techbio than longevity. You can email me or debate me through email or wherever.

If you know of any startup in the Philadelphia/Greater Delaware Valley region that’s in the intersection of Tech (AI, Data Science, Simulation, hardware, etc.), and Biology in any/all sense (medicine, plants, veterinary, molecular, etc.), or even on the Chemistry side, tell them to DM me. We got something planned for Philadelphia Tech week.
